WELCOME TO SQRRLS THOUGHTS. I started this blog as a way to clarify my thoughts and emotions regarding the 2024 election. I'll also add occasional items that just interest or entertain me. "Sqrrl" has been my nickname for about 40 years now. I got the name because when my nephew was very young (maybe 3), he could not pronounce my name and it came out sounding like "shurl." My sister (his mom), instantly picked up on it and started calling me “Squirrel” and the name stuck. As I got older, I realized that the name actually suits my manner of thinking as well. My thoughts are not always linear and I find many, many things captivating and emotionally moving. It's these thoughts and feelings that I have decided to start writing about.
